Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Matrimony, a mobile application provided by Foxxception LLC. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.

1. The service

Matrimony is a Catholic couples' devotional app offering daily virtues, guided reflections, an evening review, a rosary and prayer library, and related features. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Eligibility & your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Matrimony. You may use the app without an account. If you create an optional backup account, you are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account.

3. Subscriptions & billing

• Some features require a paid subscription (monthly or annual).
• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account and renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; refund requests are handled by the app store.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the app or its content.
• Attempt to access other users' data or disrupt the service.
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose.

5. Your content

Your reflections, reviews, and notes belong to you. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, back up, and sync that content so the app can function for you and, if you choose, your spouse.

6. Intellectual property

The app, its design, artwork, and original text are owned by Foxxception LLC. Scripture is quoted from the Douay-Rheims Bible (1899), which is in the public domain. Traditional Catholic prayers are presented in their common English forms.

7. Not professional advice

Matrimony offers devotional and reflective content for spiritual encouragement. It is not a substitute for professional counseling, medical, legal, or financial advice, and AI-generated responses may contain errors. Use your own judgment and consult qualified professionals or your pastor where appropriate.

8. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Foxxception LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time and delete your data from within Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change and continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Foxxception LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions may be sent to [email protected].
